Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

Albumtide is a tool that helps artists prepare and publish their music releases (masters, artwork, videos, copy, link pages). It is operated by Greg Meyer, Geneva, Switzerland. Contact: contact@albumtide.com.

1. Where your data lives

Albumtide currently runs as an application installed on your own computer. Your tracks, images, videos, texts and settings stay on your computer, in the folders you choose and in Albumtide's settings folder. They are not sent to our servers.

2. Google and YouTube data

If you connect your YouTube channel, Albumtide asks for the following access through Google's consent screen:

Albumtide uses this access only for actions you start yourself. It does not read your other videos, comments, subscribers or analytics. The access tokens issued by Google are stored only on your computer, in a file readable only by you. They are never shared with anyone and no human has access to them.

Albumtide's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train artificial intelligence models.

Albumtide uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy also applies.

Revoking access: in Albumtide (artist profile, "déconnecter"), which also deletes the token from your computer, or at any time from the third-party apps page of your Google Account.

3. AI-generated copy

When you click "Générer les textes" (generate copy), Albumtide sends the information needed to the configured AI service (currently through OpenRouter): artist and track name, style, notes, lyrics if any, and links. Nothing is sent without your action. No Google or YouTube data is sent to this service.

4. Public link pages

If you publish your link page on albumtide.com, it contains only what you chose to publish: artist name, bio, images, links and videos. Pages are hosted by Cloudflare. They set no cookies and use no analytics. They load fonts from Google Fonts, and embedded videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). These services may see visitors' IP addresses.

5. Retention and deletion

Your data stays on your computer for as long as you keep it. You can delete it at any time by deleting your files and Albumtide's settings folder. To remove a public link page, contact us or remove it from Albumtide.

6. Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at contact@albumtide.com.

7. Changes

This policy may change as Albumtide evolves, in particular when an online version launches. The date at the top shows the latest version.
